Nouvel article sur le blog de FASA, au sujet cette fois-ci de la série d'aventures Legends of Barsaive. On y apprend notamment que les épisodes 5 à 8 sont en cours de finalisation et devraient être disponibles prochainement.

C'est aussi l'occasion de révéler la liste complète de ces aventures, qui seront au nombre de 12 (+ le scénario d'introduction inclus avec le Kit d'Initiation) :

FASA vient d'annoncer sur Twitter que le kickstarter pour le prochain supplément Earthdawn 4 devrait être lancé prochainement, voire même dès ce week-end.

L'éditeur a changé sa politique au sujet des kickstarters : ne pas lancer de campagne avant d'avoir un livre complètement écrit et pré-maquetté, histoire de ne plus faire attendre les gens pendant des années...

Le site de FASA vient de mettre en ligne une preview du supplément.
Il y est notamment question d'une des "Voies" (une nouveauté de la 4e édition d'Earthdawn), le "Mangeur de Feu", une caste d'orks capables de canalyser et partager leur gahad.

mouais....pas convaincu par ce supplément, je n'ai jamais trop accroché sur les disciplines secondaires et encore moins sur les disciplines raciales...par contre je vais regarder de près ce qu'ils vont proposer avec les voies...peut être y aura t-il des idées à repiquer!

Le contenu en détail :

Planned to be roughly 400 pages, it introduces the concept of Paths, organizations in the Earthdawn game that reflect a particular goal and outlook. They modify an adept's Discipline, giving them access to new talents and unique abilities. This gives you new challenges to face and stories to tell as your character's legend grows.

Some of the paths might be familiar to long-time Earthdawn players, while others bring brand-new concepts to the game. Twelve are included in the book:

• The Brother of Stone is an obsidiman who seeks a greater connection with their Liferock and the living earth.
• A Fire Eater is dedicated to controlling--and gaining power from--an ork's gahad.
• Horror Stalkers are dedicated to tracking, facing, and destroying Horrors.
• The Journeyman is focused on enhancing a human's ability to easily learn magical abilities from other Disciplines.
• Liberators strive to free Namegivers from slavery--whether literal or metaphorical.
• Messengers openly spread news and deliver critical messages, but secretly gather intelligence to ensure Barsaive's independent future.
• Outcasts follow their own path, drawing strength from their personal definition of honor.
• The Purifier devotes their life to healing the world, cleansing it of the Horrors' lingering taint.
• Scholars focus on learning, the codification of accumulated knowledge, and making that knowledge widely available.
• The t'skrang Tail Dancer learns to use their tail to enhance their fighting prowess.
• Windmasters are windlings who turn their mobility and speed into impressive advantage.
• Elves who follow the Woodsman path have unparalleled understanding of, and connection to, the forest they call home.

In addition to these twelve Paths, the book includes three Disciplines:

• Boatmen are a variant of the Air Sailor, focused on riverboats instead of airships.
• The Gauntlet is a new combat Discipline dedicated to unarmed combat and making themselves an implacable living weapon.
• A Shaman is a magician who studies the living world and builds relationships with the spirits of wild places. Of special note, the Shaman has been rebuilt from the ground up with a dedicated spell list and a new type of spirit.

In addition to the rules required to play these varied character options, each Path and Discipline has an in-character essay (similar to those found in Questors) that provides insight into how these adepts see the world and practice their special magic.

Je j'attendais celle-là. J'adore Earthdawn et je suis bien satisfait de ce que j'ai reçu jusqu'à présent pour la 4e.

C'est angoissant, mais ça ne me donne pas une once d'envie de participer... je crains d'être complètement blasé par cette édition (alors qu'elle apporte du neuf dans mon jeu préféré...)

Y jouant désormais régulièrement, c'est devenu ma version préférée d'Earthdawn

FASA a dévoilé la couverture de The Adept's Journey: Mystic Paths.

La couv' reste très moderne mais bien plus proche de l'univers d'ED que ne l'était celle de l'écran donc:

Ensuite ayant un petit peu lu ce que sera les "path", leur nouvelle mécanique m'interesse fortemcement car cela m'inspire pour gérer des aspects que je n'ai jamais su vraiment exploiter avec mes joueurs jusqu'à maintenant: l'appartenance à des sociétés secrètes...

Je pense que cette nouvelle approche va changer la donne

l'illustration est magnifique mais j'ai du mal à interpreter ce que fait cet obsidien

Ça vous parait pas bizarre que le all-in (Great library bundle) soit plus cher que si on prend les bouquins un par un en add-on ?

Impossible d'avoir une réponse de Fasa !!!

J'imagine que le "all-in" inclue une partie des frais de port encourus par un envoi si volumineux, ce que les add-ons ne font probablement pas.
