Secrets of the past lie buried and sometimes they are best left that way. High up in the Atlas Mountains, a logging expedition has uncovered an Atlantean alchemical workshop-turned-tomb.

In the recent past, an Atlantean alchemist built himself a workshop to conduct his experiments in solitude and safety. Over time, his laboratory expanded to include his living areas, a library, and eventually a tomb where his apprentices and failed experiments were laid to rest. The alchemical experiments conducted by Simbellat Khor have infected and twisted his students. By the time the alchemist died, the students were but shadows of their former selves, but Khor was reborn into the body of a homunculus, albeit one tainted by death and alchemical poisons. Though he still lives, he is but a shell. His former apprentices are now the true danger—warped by strange alchemy and their minds driven mad, they lurk in the tomb, continuously reborn and reshaped by the powers locked within
